We have a formula for a much better chicken-and-turkey soup for ill and hospice ferrets than the one currently on the market which we've perfected over the last 8 years at our shelter and rescue for domestic ferrets and which is endorsed and supported by our veterinarian and medical director, Dr. C. Chew, DVM, of Ferry Pass Animal Hospital here in Pensacola who has seen the Very positive results of this food. Mostly Susie makes it by the two-gallon potful every other day and the average of 40 to 50 ferrets at the shelter consume about a gallon per day in bowlsful and the very old and ill are fed by her with it around the clock. Th main ingredient is any high-grade kitten kibble with olive-oil-and-codfish-oils added as well as small amounts of a number of over-the counter herbs including plain powdered cinnamon and a tiny dash of ginger, as well as opened capsules of red clover flowers and dandelion root, to name some of them, all proven absolutely safe.
