The following is a brief summary of my research skills and qualifications that I have gained during my graduate research work. ? Surface chemistry of inorganic and polymer substrates using silane chemistry ? Characterization using Raman, FT IR, UV-Vis, Fluorescence, AFM and thermal methods such as TGA, DSC etc. ? Surface modification of polymer fibers and characterization of interfacial shear strength. Tensile testing of UHMWPE, Xylon fibers using Instron ? Blending of fillers/polymers and radiation curing of composites ? Tensile, Compression and 3 point bend testing of polymer micro/nano composites using MTS and Instron mechanical testing systems ? Nanoindentation of polymers using AFM to study mechanical properties (preliminary studies) ? Hands on experience with various instrumentation tools for e.g. GPC, Dynamic Light scattering, SEM, optical microscopy and others listed above ? Oral and poster presentations at ACS National meetings, several articles in peer reviewed journals. ? Worked as a part of team comprised of chemists and mechanical engineers ?
