Quotation for rough cutting and machining test specimens Inquiry (采购产品): Quotation for rough cutting and machining test specimens I would like you to provide us with a quotation for removing 4 cross sections (from each part- see attached file: Test Specimen Locations(3views) 4 locations) using 9 separate parts, taking those ‘roughed out’ areas and machining them to the specifications per attached drawings for specimens. In other words, we will need 8 tensile test specimens, 8 straight shank specimens, and 8 impact test specimens out of the 6 parts we will provide you (4 specimens per part in locations 1~4 stated in the attached drawing). The material you would be roughing and machining is A356 aluminum and would already be T6 heat treated. The dimensions for each part, if you had to put it in a cube, are 12” x 8” x 9”. I also want to add that if you are awarded to make these specimens for us based on your quotation we will have a significant quantity in the near future; hence, your quotation to do these first several pieces should be the same to do future amounts as soon mentioned. This initial rough cutting and machining is a trial to see who will get awarded future business. My guess is that we will need 200 tensile, 200 rotary fatigue, and 200 charpy impact test pieces to farm out to the contractor who is awarded the business, based on: quality, timeliness, turnaround time, and a couple of other items.
