Performed measurements with calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, pins, coordinate measuring machine and other devices to maintain quality on precision machined plastic parts. Determined measurable specs from prints for short run production, prototype production, and secondary operations. Performed the duties of final inspection including materials acceptance. 1998-2000 Quality Supervisor, UFE Inc. Responsible for the supervision of four shifts of in-process inspectors, first article inspectors, and visual inspectors including hiring, firing, scheduling, review and other aspects of supervision for up to seventeen people. Maintained the integrity of customer control plans (engineering documentation) including work with in-house engineering staff, tool room and customer representatives. Set up guidelines and training of visual inspection staff to replace the old system of machine operators being responsible for visual inspection. Streamlined inspection process to increase speed and response time of inspection staff. Maintained current inspection staff when production load doubled without affecting our ability to inspect the product.
