Inquiry (采购产品): RFQ am requesting a price/delivery quote for an acme screw application in which I wish to extend the length of an existing mechanical lift by replacing the acme screw and two long steel "T" bars that the cantilevered load glides on. The vertical motion of the load is guided by teflon slides attached to the load allowign them to slide up and down on the "T" bars. The acme screw is rotated by a motor/belt/pulley fastened at the screw bottom. The weight of the load/acme screw/driving pulley assembly is supported by a thrust bearing fastened at the lower end of the acme screw. The upper end of the acme screw is attached to the load through a bearing unit mounted in the middle of the load and positioned half way between the two "T" bars upon which the load is guided. I need your help in specifying and ordering the new acme screw. The existing screw is has a Major Diameter of 1 inch with 1 Start so that the Pitch and Lead are identical. I crudely measured the lead (distance between threads) as 3/16 inch. It has 5 threads per inch (TPI). The present screw is 8 feet long. I want to extend it as much as possible. Twenty to twenty-four feet would be excellent for my application. The lifting load is said to be 750 pounds rated. Lifting speed is 8 feet per minute. Question: Can I continue to use 1 inch size screw or is there a possibility of it buckling (bending)under the 750 rated load at that length. If you say I must go to a larger screw diameter then I will need to also specify and order new nuts, bearings, etc. Any assistance you can help with this application will be appreciated.
