Inquiry (采购产品): Product Recommendation I have a condition I have not encountered before and could use some advice as to the type of product to specify. I have a case where a large trellis extends off the face of a column at a roof terrace. The architect is concerned about thermal transfer, so we have provided plates attached to the two side-connected column members and have specified, generically, at this point, a neoprene gasket in between to ease thermal transfer. I realize this is a unique bearing situation because it is a vertical condition with compression due to possible rotation of the trellis above and not the typical upper element/lower element bearing scenario. I am concerned that if the bearing pad has any thickness to it, it will need to be stiff so that any rotation will not significantly compress it. However, if it is too thin, it may be cut by the steel and thereafter, ineffective in providing thermal protection. I predict a shear load of 7k at the connection and a possible rotation of 0.5 degrees. Can you recommend an eastomeric product that will provide the thermal break required for this type of installation? **** Hidden Message ***** Mary Piontkowski 53204 USA Company: KompGilomen Engineering E-mail: mary.p@kompgilomen.com **** Hidden Message ***** mary.p@kompgilomen.com
