Inquiry (采购产品): Need Magnet Charging Hello, I am a test engineer with a small company that focuses on military overhaul contracts. I have some SmCo magnets from actuators that need recharging. What we are looking for is a place to outsource the recharging of these magnets. The first problem we have is very little data on the magnets themselves. I have managed to determine that they are made of SmCo through measuring the density and checking it against similar sized magnets that we can saturate in house. But the original manufacturer is not forthcoming with data regarding the magnet. The magnets are .36 inch diameter and .3 inch long. They are diametrally charged with two poles and we currently have a measurement of 1400 gauss at the poles on the surface of the magnet. The data we have in the military manuals states that the magnet should brake the motor to a stop at a particular voltage, and eludes to the magnets being able to be over strengthened. The second problem we have is I don’t have access to the equipment here to fully test these magnets and generate a set of data that will allow us to know what to shoot for when charging the magnets. In order to comply with the Air Force evaluation regarding this actuator, I may need to travel to your site, to see exactly what is done, take measurements and verify that the data is collected in accordance to our Air Force overhaul instructions. Our overhaul contract is 20 actuators a year. Our test sample is 3 magnets. We have already looked at purchasing a more powerful magnet charger but cannot justify the expense on a small contract.
