Inquiry (采购产品): aircraft lighting Dear sir/madam I am currently studying a British National Diploma in Aerospace engineering at Macclesfield College. I am in the last year of my course and have an integrated vocational assignment (IVA) to complete. This assignment includes looking at an aircraft, in my case it is a British Aerospace Jetstream 31 which is situated at the college itself in a small gym/hanger, and finding a problem to do with the aircraft. Once the problem is found I have to come up with an idea to improve this problem. I have decided to use the British Aerospace Jetstream 31 as it can be easily accessed and I can also see for myself what is wrong plus if I needed to look at the problem again for pictures or information, it is there. I am writing to you to ask if the idea I have come up with is feasible, I have decided to fix a L.E.D flashing light onto the bottom of the engine casing. This is for the reason that if passengers were to board the aircraft at night it would make it safer as the L.E.D lighting would flash if the engines were running. Therefore passengers would know that the engines were running and would take extra care not to go near the engines. This idea is not only for the use of the passengers but also for the engineers that service the aircraft. For instance if they were doing an engine run, not only the engineers performing the task would know but everyone in the hanger would, especially at night. I am also asking if you could give me a price of the L.E.D bulbs and the wiring that would be used. The L.E.D light on the bottom of the engine casing would be wired onto the battery to power the light. There would be a switch wired into the cockpit where the piolet could manualy switch the light on and off during the flight and on the ground. If you could please get back to me telling me whether my idea is feasible and any recomendations that you may have for me. Thank you for your time.
