I'm InTouch - Corporate Server Edition ( CSE) Features include: - Remote control of the workstation to operate any application with full screen replication as if you were physically in the office (requires no training), - Remote access to all (or any part of) corporate network files otherwise accessible by the user's workstation. - Remote access to desktop email, contacts and calendar with low bandwidth wireless devices such as Palm, Handspring, RIM and Internet-enabled cell phones. - Notification ("push") of new messages arriving at the workstation to their wireless device. - Remote access to a PC camera on the workstation for monitoring and security. Operating System/ Installation The server operating system is Linux which offers substantial cost savings. Hardware requirement is a Pentium III with 1G RAM or better (w/ dual CPU and 18G dual SCSI). The workstation (or user) operating system is Win9x, NT 4.0, Win2000, XP Home and XP Pro. The remote access "client" is any I.E./Netscape browser or Wireless mini-browser - available or pre-installed on nearly every device sold. Server software is installed on a blank machine with a self-booting install CD. Linux is installed seamlessly as part of the process. Workstations/users need only to run a small activation module by clicking on an email sent to them by the Administrator. The process takes less than three minutes. Administration The IT administrator controls each user on the I'm InTouch Server via web interface - which itself can be accessed and managed remotely. Control options included, - Add, Remove or Edit user - Restrict access to certain drives - Restrict date and time of use - Restrict other functionalities (to email only, files only, video only or any combination) - Shows usage logs and statistics - Allows for a Digital Certificate to physically authenticate client PCs trying to access a workstation (as an option). Security Features - Server: The server is located in the DMZ. The DMZ firewall works through port 443 (or any other designated port). The internal firewall is closed 100% - no additional ports need to be opened. Encryption is SSL 128-bit with access rights controlled by the Administrator. Security Features - Workstation: The workstation also uses SSL 128-bit encryption and multiple passwords - Passwords are stored at the workstation instead of the server giving even higher securities measure. Scalability A single I'm InTouch-CSE server can handle up to 500 simultaneous users. If more users are required, further scaling can be achieved by simply adding a slave for each incremental 500 users.
