Inquiry (采购产品): suitable adhesive Dear Sir, We are looking to optimize one of our factory processes where we currently use a heat activated bonding agent and cure strips of rubber into the valves that we manufacture. Currently we make over 2000 valves per year that have rubber bonded into them as a product. The way we currently go about doing this is to grit blasting the metal sub-straight (which can consist of carbon steel, aluminum bronze, stainless steel and duplex stainless steels), depending upon the rubber seat to be put into the body we then apply a relevant heat activated glue and put strips of uncured rubber on top. This then has a reverse dye put on top and pressure applied when it is put in an oven. This makes the rubber flow under the heat and pressure to fill the cavity on the body and bond to it. We would like to buy in a pre-vulcanized rubber inserts and then cold bond them into the valve body with the correct glue. We have found a cyanoacrylate that is capable of bonding the NBR rubber that we use that works within the specified temperature range of the valve. Where we are struggling is finding a glue suitable for the Viton Rubber. Do you have a cold bonding adhesive suitable for bonding Viton Rubber to Metal? Regards, Matthew S.
