New product Inquiry (采购产品): New product This opportunity involves an actual patented product about which we have high expectations - and we need help - I believe that's the first sign on the way to success. Looking over your corporate website your company appears to be well suited to undertake such a project. A very good and long time friend of mine, Ted Harris, who works for American Airlines, has developed a product (US Patent 5,392,203 dated Feb 21, 1995) that could have very universal appeal across many industries and into the consumer market. The Harris Signal Light is a derivation of existing hybrid products currently in use in the private and public sector. In his job as a jet crew chief Ted saw the opportunity to design a better signal light – and I think he has. The tubular design of the Harris Light answers cost savings questions related to durability and with the recent development of LED lighting sources the actual long term operating costs savings can now be meaningful. Some important points to consider: The current flashlight/safety cone system is prone to breakage and failure and requires two distinct products to work. In the airline industry they use plastic sticks during the day and flashlights with cones at night. Similar signal lights have been used for years in many different applications so we’re not creating a new market – wide acceptance already exists The Harris Signal Light is of one-piece extruded plastic construction and is inherently much more durable by design The incandescent light bulb used in the current flashlight/signal design is prone to damage and depletes battery power at a much higher rate than LED’s LED’s provide for a truer and whiter light than incandescent thereby improving visibility and are much more durable. The LED’s proposed for the Harris Light will provide significant long term cost savings to the user making the decision to change from the current system easier for the buyer. This device can be also made to float and flash thereby getting into the safety flare market as well. The Harris Light can be manufactured with either incandescent or LED depending on the market need and the application. For example, LED’s for commercial and government use and less expensive incandescent for consumer retail use. Different models, diffrerent price points, etc. And more... I see the opportunity to provide this product into wholesale trade distribution as well as consumer retail. Within the wholesale trades you can find the underlying distribution for all sorts of dealers who sell to the public sector in security, alarm, auto, trucking, boating, aviation and many more segments and in retail I’m thinking big box stores who can move tons of inexpensive consumable items. You can get “calculator fever” thinking of having a Harris Light provided as a safety item in every car (think AAA), truck, boat, snowmobile, jet-ski or motorcycle sold and also on the shelves of ACE Hardware and Wal-Mart, etc. In the commercial and government sectors the applications are equally numerous – airlines, police, fire, rescue, emergency, military, trucking, shipping, etc. Are you sufficiently interested to work with us on this launch? It’s not real high-tech sexy but neither was the leaf blower or weed-whacker and they seem to have done alright by rearranging existing technology. I believe the Harris Signal Light is a "why didn't I think of that" kind of product - that's usually a good sign. On the patent information American Airlines is shown as the assignee – Ted Harris has been given legal rights to the patent with the exception that American Airlines can manufacture the product for its own internal use.
