metal foams Inquiry (采购产品): metal foams Good afternoon, I am very interested in your metal foams and I would like to get some more information about them. First, let me introduce myself. I am a teacher within the acoustic and vibration group at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada). Moreover, I am the cofounder of Mecanum, a consulting firm committed to finding and bringing innovative solutions to industry noise and vibrations problems. In the past, Mecanum has worked for companies like 3M, Bombardier, Boeing and Daimler Chrysler. We have good contacts with polymer foam manufacturer, which allows us to incorporate polymer foams in the solutions that we develop for our clients. I discovered metal foams a few years ago and I think that this material could be of a great interest for certain applications. Consequently, I would like to use metal foams in order to solve some of our customer’s specific problems. Thus, I contact you today to see if I could get a little more information on the following aspects: -your metal foam characteristics (pores sizes, porosity, materials used, surface area, density, …); -their performances (compression strength, Young’s modulus, thermal conductivity, and any other performance indicators); -the maximum thickness your foams can achieve; -the shapes possibilities and dimensions of the final product (panels, sandwiches, coil, ...); -a general idea of your production process (vapour or electro deposition, casting, …); -the price of your different metal foams and how can we order them; -typical delivery time; -typical amount of metal foam that can be ordered. Also, would it be possible to get a sample. It would be much appreciated. However, I don’t know if you manufacture your own foams or if you are a subcontractor or distributor for an other manufacturer. Could you clarify me this point?
