For the record - ARTech is affiliated with Syracuse University because some of the initial ideas were developed when I was a graduate student. Otherwise -- ARTech is a completely for-profit OEM business. I have experienced uncertainty from various vendors because of the academic-type association. Ultimately, all products/technologies that develop from this company will be applied for large-scale OEM production.
