Work Experience AIRFIELD COMMANDER U.S. Army Grafenwoehr, Germany September 2004 to present Airfield Manager (Commander) of the only US Army Airfield in Germany providing 24-hour support. Perform command and control duties with responsibility for the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the entire air dome including aircraft operations, all airfield facilities, and base services. Develops and implements approved security measures, safety programs, and flight procedures, in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards. Develops, plans, maintains, and implements extensive programs for the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of airfield facilities, including airfield lighting, navigational aids, aviation hardstand, backup power systems, perimeter markings and lighting, aircraft parking aprons, hangar access aprons, storage facilities, snow and ice removal, and all landing and taxi areas. Continually monitors all airfield facilities to identify safety and operational adequacy, identifies shortfalls, implements corrective action, and plans for future needs and requirements. Monitors all construction, major repair projects, and repairs on aviation facilities to ensure adequacy with overall mission objectives. Plans and supports major and minor exercises. Sets priorities for all airfield activities, which compete for airfield or installation resources. Prepares and implements policies for airfield and aviation operations. AIRFIELD OPERATIONS and SAFETY OFFICER U.S. Army Grafenwoehr, Germany January 2000 to present Airfield Operations Manager, supervises the flight operations branch and the airfield services/refuel (POL) services branch. Schedules flight missions and coordinates and approves inbound and outbound flights. Maintained a flying hour program and coordinated all required aviation mission tasks. As the Airfield Safety officer, primarily responsible for developing and maintaining the Commander's Safety Program. Represents the commander on all safety related matters. Manages those portions of the Army Safety Program concerned with the prevention of accidents and injuries within the workforce, which includes the Army Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), and Civilian Accident Prevention Program (CAPP). Develops tools, policies, processes, and guidance for integrating risk management into Army processes.
