Inquiry (采购产品): Winston Cones Our research group is beginning construction of a prototype cosmic ray detector. A major component of this detector is an array of light focusing devices called Winston Cones (also known as compound parabolic concentrators). We have found several companies who can fabricate the plastic forms for the Winston Cones, but have not yet found anyone who can metallize them. We will need several hundred of these devices, each one approximately 4.5 inches long by three inches in diameter. They will also need to reflect light in the 300-400nm wavelength range. This leave us with two questions. Is vacuum metallization the best option for us (meaning, high reflectivity for a reasonable cost)? And, does your company have the capability of fabricating these devices? We appreciate any assistance you can offer. **** Hidden Message ***** Sean Stratton 136 Frelinghuysen Rd. rm 336 Piscataway, NJ 08854 USA Company: Rutgers University Title: Graduate Student Phone: (732) 445-5032 E-mail: seanst@physics.rutgers.edu **** Hidden Message ***** seanst@physics.rutgers.edu
