Contract manufacturing Inquiry (采购产品): Contract manufacturing Seeking Contract Manufacturing Partner AGM is a supplier of CNC machines. We have a customer base of over 1000 and are presently selling nearly 200 machines/yr – mostly large CNC for the stone industry. Our customers have needed a unique measurement instrument to facilitate their work. To meet the demand we have designed and built this measuring device. The device is electromechanical, having 2 encoders, 2 spring loaded spools, a small electronic board and a block with a pulley and a machined path for a small timing belt. Its all enclosed in a 4”x5”x 8” aluminum housing, having a plastic handle with plastic front and rear covers, a switch, a battery recharging connector. The housing is also the structural support for the components within. This unit has a small levelling base. The handle, front and rear cover are stylized and been made in molds (even though not necessary – machined plastic ok). We have built a small number of these unit and are now faced with the daunting task of building at least 100 more. Since its recent introduction we have sold enough unit to know that we have a problem in our hands. We are not set up to manufacture and assemble these devices and are looking to team up with a company that has machining, assembly and some mechanical design capabilities. We can supply some of the components - electronic board, encoders, clock spring, switch, belt and connector and need a “partner” to fabricate/machine the spools, blocks, housings, covers, handles, small taper, base and leveling plate. Some precision is required. We also need this partner to assemble and mechanically test the units. The work must be done well. Calibration will be done by our staff. Presently we are looking at 100 – 200 units/yr. Some of the work we do and some of the components we supply can be shifted over time to be supplied our “partner”. Our primary interest is to sell these units and to develop the product over time. This system also includes a heavy duty tripod and a impact resistant case to hold the measuring unit and the additional accessories. We also have a few other simpler products that we have designed and again – we are forced into assembly – but would rather have someone else do the manufacturing. Quantities are 500- 1000 /year. Other similar "things" come up from time to time - but we avoid them for lack of manufacturing abilities. If you are able and interested to do this type of work, please contact me asap. We are in a position to begin with a “partner” immediately – but need someone that can start immediately and is not backlogged with other work.
