Employment Inquiry (采购产品): Employment - Packaging PAUL HENZLIK 817 Arbor Downs Drive Plano, Texas 75023 (972) 312-1541 e-mail: phenzlik@comcast.net Work History: NOKIA MOBILE PHONES, Irving Texas. (December 1999 to Present) Packaging Designer Duties include packaging design support for telephone and accessories program’s for retail sales in the U.S., Latin American and Brazilian markets. Development of the packaging including specifying and overseeing of Transit Testing and ordering and inspecting of production tooling. Intense project management involves a large part of my time gathering information from groups such as Marketing, Logistics, and Operations. Other responsibilities include Creating the Packaging Plan and Packaging Specification for each program and conducting global packaging milestone meetings. Achievements 1) Saved the company approximately $100,000 per year in tooling charges and much more in R&D time by leading the development of 2 sets of generic packages combining to form 4 options for each program to choose a ready-made low cost alternative for their phone program if it fit the criteria: 1) that the phone and accessories fit one of two basic thermoformed inserts and 2) that the program be a very low cost, price driven program. 2) On at least 3 programs I saved the company upwards of $20,00 to $30,000 on tooling charges and thousands on sampling charges by specifying that we use select older designs that were still in production that had the same basic cavity shape as the newer products. All that was needed was to specify the old package for the new product and no need for Transit Testing because the results would be nearly identical since it is the packaging that we test, not the product. Computer Skills CAD Programs - Catia, Artios, Ideas, Software - Cape Pack, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, Sametime Connect. Materials Used HIPS - high impact polystyrene, PVC polyvinyl chloride, PETE polyethylene terephalate, F-flute and C-flute corrugated fiberboard. GENERAL PACKAGING CORPORATION, Richardson, Texas. (January 1991 to November 1999) Packaging Engineer Designed custom protective packaging for the tele-communications, medical and defense industry in north Texas, including Lucent Technology, Raytheon, Texas Instruments and Abbott Diagnostics. Worked closely with customers, sales and management in all phases of design projects; designing in wood, most corrugated board grades and high performance cushioning foams. Designed and ordered all tooling. Specified all materials and produced all production drawings and instrucions for manufacturing along with costing all components and fabricating of most prototypes. Tested package designs using ISTA approved shock and vibration equipment. Achievements 1) I created one set of foam end caps to package 5 differently shaped computer monitors. The goal had been to reduce the number from 5 down to 2 or 3. I brought our company the business with my sucess and solved the customer’s problem at the same time it saved our company one or two extra tools and the logistics that would bring and the cost for each tool at approximately $500 each. 2) Weber Chair Support - Produced from one die cut from triple wall corrugated. This design saved my company money by keeping it to a single material and two step operation since the piece needed only to be cut to size, die cut and shipped flat for the customer to setup eliminating our need to have multiple operations and materials. Computer Skills Autocad Version 10 Materials Used “B” and “C” single wall corrugated, BC and AC double wall, CAA triplewall, plastic corrugated, regular and static dissipative polyurethane and polyethylene cushioning foams, plywood, softwoods, hardwoods, steel, hardware/fasteners.
