Inquiry (采购产品): Need of technical information We have a HC404 brought one year ago but until now we are working with. Because isn’t possible use Freon113 we are using Carbide Tetrachloride (CCl4) like solvent for our standards and samples. However in the owner manual the criterion for initialization for the instrument are: the use for Freon 113 and next two steps: an absorbance of .070 for a empty quartz sample cell and a .150 (or below) for a cell fill with freon113. The question is: Are the criterion of acceptance the same for CCl4 too? If not would you send us this criterion? Recently a service company verify our equipment using a set of Buck's T.P.H. Sealed calibration Standards but when they comply the service we inquiry about the certificate, they send us a copy of the certificate but in this paper appear only data of absorbance for every standard but without accepting tolerance values. What about this? How can we use this calibration values if our solvent is another (different matrix)? Can we find some equivalence between Freon113 blank absorbance value and CCl4 blank value? The values in the reference are: Cell-Blank .129-.000; cell-10ppm .151-.020; cell-53ppm .237-.107 and cell-261 ppm. 653-.523. We found this: Cell blank .115-.000; cel-10ppm .139-.023; cell-53ppm .219-.104 and cell 261ppm .600-.495. We appreciate your comments and help to correct usage of this important instrument for our laboratory. ATENTAMENTE ING. MARCO ANTONIO VAZQUEZ MONTOYA LABORATORIO COECO Av. Las Torres Sur 701 Col.
